ABOUT US Perry Hall Music Center was established in 1975 by Dave Schafer. Dave has a Bachelors Degree in music and has over 30 years of experience. He served as music director at Saint Mary’s Seminary and University from 1995 to 2000. Also, he has been the Director of Contemporary Music as St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fullerton for 25 years. The studio is a spacious room with windows, not the small windowless rooms found in most studios. All lessons are by appointment. |

MUSIC LESSONS We offer music lessons for children and adults on Piano, Guitar and Mandolin. Our approach to teaching is a combination of traditional and modern methods. That is, we teach note reading and theory along with some modern approaches to learning. We believe that teaching is a long term relationship and that each student’s needs have to be met on an individual basis.

INSTRUMENT REPAIR We offer repairs and seasonal tune-ups on band instruments including Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute. We also setup and repair Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitars and Electric Bass. Our shop is on premises so we can get your instrument back to you in a day or two unlike shops that can take a week or more.

PIANO TUNING Keeping your piano tuned is very important both for the development of young musicians and for the longevity of your piano. Pianos are generally tuned twice a year. We serve Baltimore County and Harford County and pride ourselves in prompt, courteous service.

RECORDING We offer computer based recording for aspiring songwriters and singers. We can provide back-up tracks for vocalist, instrumentalist and even choirs. Reasonable rates on a per project basis. If you are not your own musician, we can record the backup tracks to your specifications from a single guitar to a full backup band.

MUSICIAN SERVICES Dave is available to play and Cantor at your church wedding and is familiar with both traditional and contemporary Christian music. Please call for rates and availability. |
